NOLITA RESTAURANT, NEW YORK
OWNER’S REPRESENTATIVE AND GENERAL CONTRACTOR
The Moon Group oversaw the interior architecture, ground-up construction, and fit-out of a 5,000-square-foot restaurant, designed by Philippe Starck, in New York’s Soho district. An urban infill structure on a landmark block, the project’s requirements included the stabilization of the adjoining 19th-century townhouses during construction, developing architecture that is at once contemporary and contextual, and realizing Starck’s vision with exactitude and panache. In addition to assembling the design team and consultants, handling contract negotiations and supervising construction, The Moon Group coordinated the selection of restaurant equipment, managed community relations, and assisted in obtaining operating licenses and permits.
