As Senior Vice President of Construction and Development at André Balazs Properties, Richard Moon was responsible for overseeing the creation, over two and a half years, of the Standard New York Hotel and all of its venues. An 18-story tower arching over the High Line in the heart of Manhattan’s Meatpacking District, The Standard features 337 rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows, a 4,000-square-foot restaurant, meeting and event spaces, and a 6,000-square-foot nightclub. The Standard opened to critical acclaim and has won numerous architecture and design awards.
